Specifications Nova / Avon ACB9 Vintage FF Tires:

V

Values in parentheses are measured vs. Nova / Avon advertised approximate dimensions.

SUGGESTED STARTING POINTS FOR SETUP AND ALIGNMENT

Camber

These tires perform best with only slight negative camber:

Front: -0.25° to -0.5°

Rear:  0° to -0.5°

Caster

Same as with bias slicks: +3° to +5°

Toe

Front:  1/16" to 1/8" toe out

Rear:   1/16" to 1/8" toe in

Tire pressure

Tire pressures are a matter of driver preference and "feel".  The rear sidewalls are not very stiff and move sideways when turning in, then take a set.  The front and rear tires develop maximum grip at slip angles greater than the bias slicks.

Cold:  F12 R13 psi

Hot:    F15 R18psi (maximum)

For rain / wet conditions set pressure to "hot" settings.

Ride Height Change vs. Hoosier VFF Tire

Published circumferences indicate the Front Avon tire is slightly taller than the Hoosier VFF tire, which may require an adjustment in front ride height.

The rear Avon is slightly taller, therefore little or no ride height change is required.

Gear Ratio Change vs. Hoosier VFF

Since the rear Avon tire is only slightly taller, most tracks will not require a gear change.
